4 day old eating 3oz formula every 3 hours

My baby is only 4 days old and he started off eating 1-2oz every 4 hours in the hospital, but his appetite grew quickly and last night he was eating 3oz every 3-4 hours. I tried 3 oz because he was having a hard time settling after 2 oz and was chewing his hands like crazy. And he was only going 2 hours...
